Testing & EICR
What your electrical report means
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) checks wiring, sockets, protective devices and earthing against the current wiring regulations. Anything we find is given one of four codes.
C1
Danger presentRisk of injury. We make it safe straight away, before we leave.
C2
Potentially dangerousNeeds urgent repair. The report is unsatisfactory until it's fixed.
FI
Further investigationSomething needs checking more closely without delay.
C3
Improvement recommendedNot dangerous, but bringing it up to date would improve safety.
